I can’t believe Jet is two! This year has brought so many challenges and a lot of beautiful highs at the same time. I won’t keep this post long, but I wanted to share with you guys his farm themed birthday party 😊
We started his birthday celebration on a Friday. PJ and I took Jet to the Explorations V Children Museum in Lakeland, Florida. I have been to multiple children’s museum by now and this one was by far my favorite. Lakeland is a small city which means a smaller population compared to larger metropolitan area like Orlando or Tampa, Florida. I had my hesitations at first. I thought perhaps the museum would not offer much because it is not in a huge city. Boy was I wrong!
I was super impressed with the size and all the activities they had for Jet to do. They had activities and games for children of all ages!

Here is Jet supposedly shopping at Publix (I was proud he was only shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables : )
Saturday was a busy day! It was prep day. Thankfully all of my sisters were in town and were able to help me TREMENDOUSLY, I truly have no idea how I would have prepped or survived the party itself without them (so if you are reading thank you sissys ; ) they are truly the best.
We looked up different ideas on Pinterest and got to working! They came out better than we thought, we are definitely not bakers so with that in mind I say A for effort 😊

They are cute right?
They attempted chocolate covered strawberries. That was not shade 🙂 but my sister Katherine mentioned how they tried and it just was not working out. I like the way they turned out. I think we got the wrong type of chocolate and or food coloring :/ But they were a hit! The taste is what really matters anyway am I right?
Jet napped through most of his party but he still got some play time in.
And of course there was … cake, cake, cake! I made his birthday cake. I combined multiple recipes I found online and put my own spin on it. For a whole food, non-processed, healthy cake it truly tasted good. However, I do want to make it again because I want to alter the recipe just a tiny bit before posting the recipe for you guys. It needs to be better than good … it needs to be perfection.
I tried my best not to cry while singing happy birthday but of course … I did. Oh well. His whole entire being is just unbelievable and at times I need to cry about it. I am incredibly thankful for my entire family taking away time from their lives to come out and celebrate Jet with us. I thanked my sisters already so I guess it is only fair I thank my parents as well 😊 Thank you for helping me put together this beautiful party and for everything you do for Jet. Jet has pretty amazing grandparents. Without you guys, I would not be here which means Jet wouldn’t exist and for that alone I will forever be grateful.
Let me know in the comments below at what age did you stop crying while everyone sang happy birthday, I don’t know if I ever will … : (
